Texas License to Carry (LTC) Course Overview

The Texas LTC (License to Carry) course is designed to educate individuals on firearm laws, safety, and responsible carrying of a handgun in public. Upon successful completion, participants can apply for a Texas LTC, allowing them to legally carry a handgun either concealed or openly (in a holster).

Course Requirements

Minimum Age: 18+ (21 for some applicants; exceptions apply for military members)

Eligibility: Must meet state and federal firearm possession laws

Format: Can be completed in-person or online, followed by a range of proficiency test

Course Curriculum (State-Mandated – Minimum 4-6 Hours)

  2. Firearm Safety & Handling
  3. Non-Violent Conflict Resolution
  4. Handgun Use & Shooting Proficiency Test (Live-Fire Range Qualification)

50-round shooting proficiency test at a distance of 3, 7, and 15 yards.
Must demonstrate safe gun handling and accuracy.
Typically conducted with a semi-automatic or revolver (minimum .22 caliber).

NRA Basic Pistol Course

Our Beginner Firearms Course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of safe gun handling. Whether you’re completely new to firearms or looking to refresh your skills, this course offers a structured, hands-on learning experience that builds confidence and competence.

The NRA Basic Pistol Course covers:

Firearm Safety & Handling – The NRA’s three fundamental safety rules, safe handling procedures, and proper storage methods.
Pistol Parts & Operation – Understanding different types of pistols (semi-automatic and revolvers), their components, and how they function.
Ammunition Knowledge – Basics of cartridges, calibers, and ammunition selection.
Fundamentals of Marksmanship – Grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breathing, and follow-through.
Shooting Positions & Techniques – How to shoot from supported and unsupported positions.
Range Rules & Live-Fire Practice – Supervised shooting sessions with certified instructors to develop accuracy and confidence.
Cleaning & Maintenance – Proper cleaning and maintenance procedures to ensure firearm longevity and safe operation.
Legal & Ethical Aspects – Basic introduction to firearm laws, ownership responsibilities, and best practices.

NRA CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) Course

This course is designed to provide comprehensive training for individuals who want to carry a concealed firearm responsibly. The course covers a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on training, focusing on firearm safety, marksmanship, defensive shooting techniques, and legal considerations.

    • Fundamental rules of firearm safety
    • Proper handling and storage of firearms
    • Safe loading and unloading procedures
  2. Concealed Carry Fundamentals
    • Choosing the right firearm for concealed carry
    • Holster selection and carry positions
    • Drawing from concealment
  3. Defensive Shooting & Marksmanship
    • Shooting fundamentals (grip, stance, trigger control, sight alignment)
    • Defensive shooting techniques
    • Point shooting vs. sighted fire
  4. Mindset & Situational Awareness
    • Developing a defensive mindset
    • Understanding situational awareness and threat assessment
    • Conflict avoidance and de-escalation
  5. Legal Aspects of Concealed Carry
    • Understanding self-defense laws and use-of-force principles
    • Reciprocity and state-specific regulations
    • The aftermath of a defensive shooting (interacting with law enforcement, legal consequences)
  6. Live Fire Training

First Aid and Stop the Bleed training provides individuals with the skills and confidence to respond to medical emergencies, injuries, and life-threatening bleeding situations. These courses are ideal for the general public, workplace safety teams, first responders, and anyone who wants to be prepared in an emergency.

CPR & AED Training Overview

Recognizing Emergencies – Understanding the signs of cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, choking, and respiratory distress.
Scene Safety & Emergency Response – How to assess a situation, call for help (911), and prioritize actions.
CPR for Adults, Children & Infants – Hands-on practice for performing effective chest compressions and rescue breaths on different age groups.
AED Use & Operation – Learning how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), including:

Proper pad placement
Understanding voice prompts
Delivering a shock safely

Choking Response (Heimlich Maneuver) – How to assist a choking adult, child, or infant using abdominal thrusts.

Team-Based CPR – Coordinating CPR efforts in a two-person rescue scenario for improved effectiveness.
Hands-Only CPR – Training on compression-only CPR when rescue breaths aren’t an option.
Recovery Position & Post-Resuscitation Care – Proper positioning for an unconscious but breathing individual.
